Barnacle moss appears to be a collection of red, balloon-like pods intertwined with a mass of mossy greenery. It is also one of the primary sources of food for squees, and will react to a squee's chirps, inflating the pods to attract the squee to it. When inflated, the moss is sturdy and stable enough to be used as a walkway, as it is in J'nanin.
