    Taghira is a cold, icy, and desolate Age, filled with snow and glaciers. When D'ni was at its prime, Taghira served as a Prison Age to lock away terrible transgressors. However, it is interesting to note that despite their apparent lack of natural resources, the prisoners managed to build homes, heat generators, and even tombs for themselves.

     

    Much of this was possible through the exploitation of bacteria in the Age's water supply. Using a series of hot water pipes, the prisoners were able to construct forms out of these bacteria, which hardened when exposed to heat, for use as homes and even food.

     

    This Age is one of the four Ages containing the Slates used to free the Tablet.
