    The Flytrap is not indigenous to the Forest region of Edanna, it was grown by Saavedro as one of the complications he used in an effort to slow Atrus' progress through the Ages of J'nanin. It is a carnivorous plant, capable of holding a full-grown person in its pouch.

     

    It has been noted by a number of people that this plant is more similar to a pitcher plant than a flytrap, but the plant's official designation by Presto and all accompanying literature identifies it as a flytrap, thus is has not been re-named.
