Another such clock can be seen on an island in the personal Relto Ages of explorers who have activated the clock gift from Yeesha. However, the Relto clock is nonfunctional, and is decorated differently than the Bevin version. The gorahyan ([dni]goray
  2. ArrivalWelcome to my Age. Noloben. When D'ni died, I fled here. From death to death. You will see the fingerprints of the creatures everywhere. This was their home, and they did not welcome me. To survive, I was forced to learn. You will learn here as well. It is not like the other Ages. Note: the following section is spoken only if Laki'ahn is the first Age you visit. Much to learn. First, the stone Slate. Pick it up from the pedestal and take it with you. But know this about the slate: They too are abominations, made by the Bahro creatures
  3. ArrivalI wish you could see Laki'ahn as I remember it! Anticipation. The calls of the beasts, bellowing out over the warm airs ... and conversations, as we waited for the fires to burn and the battles to begin. This was a place of great strength and triumph. I wonder if you have such courage. The door to the Trade House is locked, but the Jeweler Door on the other side, that can be unlocked. Note: the following section is spoken only if Laki'ahn is the first Age you visit. Much to learn. First, the stone Slate. Pick it up from the pedestal and take it with you. But know this about
  4. RAWA has recently chimed in on the pronunciation of certain words in a thread on the URU Live forums (http://www.urulive.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1691). He's been a real chatterbox there, for a change!
  5. Appears in: End of Ages Location: Myst Island, K'veer, Releeshahn [toc]Table of Contents[/toc] [h=1]Link to Myst without Tablet.[/h] [if you give the Tablet to Yeesha when she holds out her hands, the Tablet will return to the Keep and you will no longer be able to touch it. Yeesha will turn away from you in silent disappointment and link out. You can also simply leave the Tablet on the Keep, never picking it up, before using the Myst Book, or you can bring the Tablet to MYST Island, then drop it somewhere before you reach Esher] [Esher appears on the Myst library steps as you approach.]

    D'ni Tahvo Timer

Appears In: Uru: Complete Chronicles Location: Ahnonay (Kadish's Office) This timing device measures a period of one tahvo (about 14.5 minutes) in the D'ni timekeeping system each time it is activated. The tick marks on the timer are spaced at intervals of one gorahn (about 34.8 seconds), while the D'ni numerals visible through the magnifying lens indicate the number of prorahntee that have elapsed, in increments of 25. One prorahn is about 1.4 to 1.5 seconds, and there are 25 prorahntee per gorahn, or 625 prorahntee per tahvo.

    Pirahna Bird

Appears In: EoA Found In: Laki'ahn The pirahna bird is a medium-sized avian life form native to the Age of Laki'ahn. About the size of a chicken, its most distinguishing characteristics are a large bill with an impressive array of sharp dentition, and a call that is particularly harsh and unpleasant. The pirahna bird has never been observed in flight, and may, in fact, be unable to do so because of the weight of its bill. These birds spend a great deal of time running in small circles, especially when it is windy, which may be a sign of deficient intelligence, or may be intended to attract

    Laki Gemstones

Appear In: EoA Location: Laki'ahn These red gemstones were much valued by the D'ni, perhaps as much for their provenance as for their intrinsic value. They were harvested from the bodies of the [article title=Laki]laki[/article], an aquatic animal, by warriors of the native [article title=Kresh]Kresh[/article] race, who fought fierce battles with the laki in an arena before an appreciative D'ni audience. The gems were then taken by jewelers through a special door from the arena into the trade house, where they could be sold.

    Laki

Appears In: EoA Found In: Laki'ahn The laki is a large aquatic animal native to the Age of Laki'ahn. They have an elongated skull bearing two tusks, a large dorsal fin with an irregular margin, and a haunting call that can be heard far over the waters. It is unclear whether the laki are fish, or are more similar to our earthly aquatic mammals. They bear red gemstones within their bodies, but it is uncertain as to whether the gems are grown there, or are collected somehow by the animals, as a bird collects stones for its gizzard. The D'ni valued these gems, and used warriors of the nativ

    Kresh

Appear In: EoA (mentioned) The Kresh (pronounced "KREESH") are a humanoid race native to the Age of Laki'ahn. Warriors of this race were hired or induced by the D'ni to fight laki, an aquatic animal, in an arena in order to harvest red gemstones from their bodies. These battles required great courage, as the warrior was armed only with a type of battle axe, and were performed before an appreciative audience of D'ni. The warriors were rewarded for these battles with the meat of their defeated opponents, according to the Prima Official Strategy Guide for Myst V, as the laki were a major fo

Appears In: EoA Actor: David Ogden Stiers (voice), Rand Miller (motion capture) Race: D'ni Esher is a D'ni archivist who survived the Fall of D'ni in 9400 DE (1744 CE) by fleeing to the Age of Noloben. Eventually he learned their technique for linking at will, and learned about the Tablet that could give him full control over
